inthinc outlines best practices in enterprise telematics deployment.

inthinc Technology Solutions Inc., a global provider of telematics, fleet management and driver safety solutions, has released a new white paper titled, "The Next Phase of Telematics: Moving Beyond Plug-and-Play." Based on more than 10 years of enterprise telematics deployment experience, the paper offers insight into how large organizations have successfully deployed the inthinc waySmart solution for improved driver safety and fleet efficiency.

"Effective mobile resource management requires more than just a plug-and-play GPS system," said Skip Kinford, inthinc executive vice-president. "If a company thinks they can simply install a GPS-tracker on a vehicle and hope it will make all their problems go away, they will be extremely disappointed. Companies with the highest ROI and healthiest safety culture share unique similarities in character, leadership, planning, process and follow-through. It is these traits that drive continuous change of improvement."

Demonstrating how 'telematics' has evolved beyond basic plug-and-play system, inthinc has developed this guide to educate enterprises on what is required for a successful telematics program -- highlighting critical "best practices" modeled after inthinc's Efficient Execution Methodology, known as E2M. The company's E2M approach to telematics deployment is a proven, consistent and effective methodology that enables successful, repeatable and efficient delivery of the inthinc solution, which in turn helps customers maximize value.

Telematics and mobile resource management is an evolving industry with increasing features and endless possibility. Having provided telematics solutions to Fortune 500 enterprise fleets for more than 10 years, inthinc works side-by-side with customers to set long-term goals, ensure quality deployment and provide 24/7 support.
