Roberto Rossi has been named director, workshop technical equipment sales for Robert Bosch LLC. In this capacity Rossi will oversee all sales and service activities for Bosch service equipment in North America. Rossi joined the Bosch automotive aftermarket division in July of this year and is based in the Broadview, Ill. headquarters. The announcement was made by Bobby Bloom, vice president, independent aftermarket, to whom Rossi reports.
In this new role, Rossi will direct sales activities for the Bosch portfolio of automotive diagnostic and service equipment throughout the North American aftermarket. These offerings include a wide array of shop service equipment, including diagnostic equipment ranging from hand-held scan tools to large diagnostic consoles. Also included are wheel alignment systems, wheel balancers, tire changing machines, brake lathes, and air conditioning service equipment. Additionally, he will direct all service operations and programs for these same products.
Rossi brings to his new role broad experience in managing sales of vehicular service equipment. Before coming to North America he managed sales activities for Bosch in southeast European. Prior to that he served for more than 15 years in international sales positions for a leading Italian manufacturer of wheel service equipment.

Bosch’s portfolio of service equipment includes system diagnostic equipment and scan tools designed for the newest vehicle technology, including hybrid vehicles, diesel-powered vehicles, and those vehicles equipped with Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI). Also offered is equipment for flash reprogramming, as well as wheel alignment systems integrated with vehicle diagnostic analyzers. And the Bosch family of wheel and tire service equipment is carefully designed to handle specialty wheels and tires, as well as those for light and medium-duty trucks.
