Louisiana shop sued by man who claims wheel fell off truck after being serviced
A Louisiana auto shop and one of its technicians are being sued by an area man, who claims he had an accident because the wheel on his truck was not properly replaced.
According to the Louisiana Record, Gustavo Sanchez-Pavon brought the lawsuit against The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company, Goodyear Auto Service Center and Wayne Jackson in the 24th Judicial District Court almost two months ago. Sanchez-Pavon says he brought his 1997 Dodge Ram truck to the Goodyear Auto Service Center located in Kenner to have his tires inspected, rotated and his wheels balanced.
Jackson did the work, and three days later, the passenger’s side front tire fell off while Sanchez-Pavon was driving on Interstate 10, says the article. He says the tire had been negligently reattached by the defendants resulting in an accident where he sustained injuries.
