Fast Lube Plus owners’ Tom and Joe Benza hosted a customer appreciation and education event at their shop in Cary, N.C. to celebrate their recent Motor Oil Matters (MOM) certification.
Promoted through a radio remote broadcast from local station 94.7 QDR, the MOM celebration included discounted oil changes for consumers with 10 percent of net sales from the event going to support the U.S. Veterans Corp. Consumers were also treated to seeing the MOM-branded Germain Racing’s #13 GEICO Chevrolet SS driven by Casey Mears.
Motor Oil Matters is a consumer education and industry watchdog program run by the American Petroleum Institute, established to stress the benefits of quality motor oils and bring together consumers and all parts of the motor oil business to ensure drivers get the right motor oil for their cars and trucks — every time. The MOM mark identifies oil change locations that are committed to providing motor oil that meets API standards.
