In this video Scott Brown, ASE Master Certified L1 Technician, reviews the Associated Equipment Battery Electrical System Tester, No. 6042. The 6042 can support both 12V and 24V systems and comes with a 1,000A inductive clamp that can be disconnected from the machine and used on other DVOM’s or scopes. The unit also includes external light duty test leads and has an additional lead that can be used to control the field circuit of a generator/alternator system with an external regulator.
