Advanced Clean Air Technologies (ACAT) Global to debut line of metallic catalytic converter substrates at SEMA

Oct. 10, 2012
Company claims new line is most efficient catalytic converter substrates being produced.

ACAT Global, the leader in clean air technology, will debut its extraordinary new line of metallic catalytic converter substrates at the 2012 SEMA Show, the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world.

Acquiring all technology and manufacturing assets of GM/Delphi’s metallic catalytic converter division, ACAT Global claims it is currently producing the world’s lightest, smallest, most cost-effective and efficient catalytic converter substrates on the market today. GM/Delphi invested an estimated $500 million, during an 18-year period, to bring the technology to the point of full commercialization.

The ACAT Global line being showcased at SEMA 2012 represents what the company claims is the greenest and most efficient catalytic converter substrates currently being produced. The products use one-third less precious metals, yet still achieve the same emissions reduction while reducing sound by 30 decibels. ACAT’s technology raises environmental standards across the board while also creating a significant cost-savings in raw materials used.

According to ACAT Global’s CEO Joe A. Moch, “The impact of this patented and proprietary technology has far reaching implications, not only from a business and manufacturing perspective but, something of even greater importance -- a profoundly game-changing global environmental impact.”

During the SEMA show, the exquisite ACAT Ferrari 575 will be part of ACAT Global’s booth presence. A collaborative effort through Jim Busby’s JBR Motorsports, the ACAT Ferrari 575 recently broke 200 mph during SpeedWeek at the Bonneville Salt Flats, qualifying for World Speed Finals at the Salt Flats October 3rd through 6th. ACAT Global commissioned the project in an effort to showcase the design and technology of the corporation’s new catalytic converters -- garnering immediate success metrics for this new and progressive line of metallic catalytic converter substrates.
