Q: How did the tool/equipment function as far as saving you time?

A: The long times between charges, the adjustable head which allows the user to move the light beam, and the magnetic charging feature were all time savers for me.

Q: How has using this tool impacted your shop’s profitability?

A: Any tool that makes your job more efficient will impact the shop’s profitability in a positive way. Flashlights are a necessity in the automotive industry regardless of how well-lit the shop environment is. If you can’t see what you’re working on, you’re either not going to get the job done, or not done well. This light offers features that make life easier when needing a flashlight. Easier life = more efficient = more profitable.

Q: What kind of setup was involved before using the product?

A: All that we needed to do is remove the shim/slip that was keeping the contacts from touching the battery. This was a nice feature that keeps the battery from draining if the switch were to be depressed when shipping or on display.

Q: How was its packaging? Did it come with any accessories?

A: The packaging was nice. A little beat up but it was packaged well. The light came with a magnetic charging cable and a tether for the light.

Q: Was there a manual included?

A: The light did come with a user manual, and it was clear and intuitive.

Q: What features did you like?

A: I love the size and shape of the light. I like the flexible head, the adjustable light output, the magnetic base, and the magnetic charging system.

Q: Is there any way you could think to improve or add to this tool?

A: Not really. I think the research and design team did a great job with this light and I’m excited to have it. Of course, the lighting industry is and has been bustling for good reason. God said, “Let there be light” and Fenix Light Company took that request seriously. There is always a need for different styles of light so it’s not a matter of improving this light. This one is great but there are different styles that will be required, and I’ve decided to keep an eye out for Fenix whenever a need for a new light arises.

Q: What types of jobs/repairs did you use this tool for?

A: I used this as my main light for several days. Most of my work is diagnostic related so the light was used for under hood or under dash inspection and testing purposes.

Q: On a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate this tool overall?

A: I’m rating this a 10. I love the features mentioned throughout this review, but the light feels very solid yet lightweight and sexy. I really like this light.
