Question: Is there a way to more accurately estimate body repairs for reconditioning?

Answer:

Unfortunately, there are several variables that go into estimating body repairs. Does it need a body shop, windshield replacement, or paintless dent repair? Are you keeping it in-house with your collision repairs or subletting to a third party? Getting a cost estimate requires a time investment, but it’s possible to be much closer.

Finding the damage is often the first hurdle to overcome. Because many body repairs are typically found after the vehicle is in your inventory, it’s a cost you’ll have to absorb. For trade-ins or new inventory arrivals, a UVeye Atlas scan will locate dents, scratches, gaps, and other flaws that will need to be fixed so you can price them more accurately or even arbitrate for the cost of repair.
