There are many variables in torque testing that can lead to inconsistencies across manufacturers, including the set time, bolt size and air pressure used. Thus, it’s difficult to compare the torque ratings of different manufacturers. When selecting tools, seek a manufacturer who measures their tools’ torque consistently - the same way, every time.
