An automotive and diesel technician for Centre Acres Garage and S&C Operations Inc. in Bellefonte, Pa., Zebulon (Zeb) McNichol works on light duty vehicles, medium and heavy duty vehicles, heavy duty trucks and trailers, and farm machinery. His shop also performs Pennsylvania safety inspection and emissions in this two-man shop.
“There is not a job too big or too small. We work on small gas engines, automobiles, semi-truck motors, heavy truck motors, transmissions, farm equipment, etc.,” says McNichol.
McNichol has been a technician for over 18 years, but only recently purchased his Mac Tools Macsimizer box in an attempt to keep up with his expansive tool collection. At 19.5’ long, he says it’s very big with a lot space, however that space is almost completely filled with specialty tools, wrenches, screwdrivers and hammers, and more. “The box handles the wide variety of tools very well with ease.”
He chose a Mac Tools toolbox because of the quality. “The main toolboxes we have are Mac because they are very well made. They take a beating and keep on asking for more.”
His favorite part of the toolbox is the end hutch and the work space. “It’s nice to have the lights inside (the hutch). The work top is convenient for writing out bills, putting our laptops in, and even for little jobs with little parts that can get lost easily.”
McNichol’s favorite tool in his toolbox is his Bosch heavy duty scan tool because of the versatility the tool allows. “You can do so many different things and applications with it.” He adds the scan tool saves money and a lot of time on troubleshooting, rather than taking the vehicle to a dealership. “It helps us get our own equipment back on the road quickly as well as fixing our customer’s equipment with minimal downtime.”
