Continental Commercial Vehicles & Aftermarket, manufacturer and supplier of VDO OE-engineered TPMS replacement parts, has just launched a new online quiz that will help aftermarket distributors, tire dealers and service providers to test their knowledge about TPMS and learn more about applications, benefits and use of tire pressure monitoring systems on today’s passenger cars and light trucks. The quiz has been posted on the VDO REDI-Sensor website, www.redi-sensor.com, home of Continental's revolutionary, new VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-Application TPMS Sensors.

According to Steve Landis, VDO TPMS Product Manager, “This quiz is a fun way to make sure that our aftermarket parts and service community is up to speed on some basic TPMS knowledge. As more and more TPMS equipped vehicles come in for service, the need to know more about the systems and their service requirements is vital from both a maintenance and profitability standpoint.”

The overall quiz covers 11 key points about TPMS principles, operation and service. Participants who complete the quiz will also get a chance to win a REDI-Sensor baseball cap. Continental will award five hats per week during the quiz promotional period, which is scheduled to run everyday until June 30. All pertinent information for the quiz as well as performance and vehicle application information for VDO REDI-Sensor™ Multi-Application TPMS Sensors is provided on the website.

Game-changing advancement in TPMS service

VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-Application TPMS Sensors deliver a game-changing advancement in TPMS service. They are compatible with all major TPMS scan tools and are pre-programmed, so there is no need for new training or specialized programming tool investments. If a shop has the tools and knowledge to work with the OE sensors, it’s ready for REDI-Sensor.

VDO REDI-Sensor sensors come ready to use right out of the box and are designed to relearn to the vehicle in the exact same way as the OE sensors. The sensors are OE-validated for fit, function and reliability. REDI-Sensor sensors can be used by themselves or in combination with OE sensors on a vehicle.

The TPMS Solution: New VDO REDI-Sensor Multi-Application TPMS Sensors

VDO REDI-Sensor sensors represent a breakthrough opportunity in TPMS service, simplicity and profitability potential. In addition to the ever-expanding application coverage, they also dramatically reduce SKU count versus OE sensors. REDI-Sensor provides the seamless solution changeover from OE sensors that shops are looking for, while maintaining the OE peace-of-mind that technicians and their customers demand.

Continental has a strong heritage as one of the industry's leading manufacturers of complete OE Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems, including sensors, related sensor service parts, as well as passenger and commercial vehicle tires. All VDO TPMS replacement parts are made in ISO-certified facilities to the same quality standards as the OE parts supplied to automakers worldwide.
