Bridgestone Americas recalls 2,600 tires; part of 1 million-plus unit safety recall

Issues with the tires' inner liners could lead to leaks and tire failure.

Bridgestone Corp. is conducting a safety recall of more than 1.2 million truck and bus tires, due to potential issues with the tires' inner liners that could cause slow air leakage and tire failure. Of these 1.2 million tires, 2,600 of the tires have been sold in North and South America. 

While the recall was initially announced on Nov. 7, the Bridgestone Corp. website in Japan has not notified website visitors. However, Bridgestone Americas has released information regarding the recall.
