ASE Seeks Industry Input on Medium/Heavy Truck Electrical Systems Certification Standards
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence is asking medium/heavy truck service professionals to participate in an online survey aimed at shaping the future of technical training and certification standards for electrical and electronic systems repair.
The survey, focused on ASE's Med/Heavy Truck Electrical/Electronic Systems (T6) certification, is part of a broader series of studies commissioned by ASE to identify which repair tasks technicians perform most frequently. Results will be used to update industry-wide training content and certification benchmarks.
ASE President and CEO Dave Johnson encouraged broad participation from across the service industry. "Please feel free to share this survey with other service professionals so we can hear from as many as possible," Johnson said in the survey's introduction.
Participation is open to all service professionals—ASE certification is not required. Responses are anonymous and will be reported only in aggregate. Participants who provide an email address will be entered for a chance to win one of five $100 Amazon gift cards.
ASE, established by the automotive industry in 1972, develops certification standards and task outlines with guidance from working service experts.
