Jaguar Models May Display False Warning
This bulletin applies to 2018 and later Jaguar E-PACE/F-PACE/I-PACE, 2017 XE/XF, 2009-2014 XF and 2016 and later XJ models.
A “hood open” message may be displayed in the instrument cluster, or the security system status indicator may give an audible warning to indicate that the hood is not latched correctly.
Upon inspection, the hood may actually be correctly latched. This may be caused by water ingress into the hood latch micro switch. If this is the case, replace the hood latch with an integral micro switch.
