Buick Regal Needs Oil Can Filter Change

Owners of 2016-2018 Buick Regal vehicles may comment that the MIL is on. DTC P0172 (fuel trim system rich) may be set in the ECM.

Owners of 2016-2018 Buick Regal vehicles may comment that the MIL is on. DTC P0172 (fuel trim system rich) may be set in the ECM.

This condition may be caused by driving the vehicle in short intervals, allowing excess fuel to collect in the crankcase.

An oil can filter change may be necessary to remove excessive fuel and to correct the DTC set.
