Ford Eliminates Illumination on Taurus

We don’t know why, but 2018-2019 Ford Taurus vehicles equipped with a floor shift transmission selector lever, built on or after May 21, 2018, are no longer equipped with an illuminated gear selector indicator on the transmission selector lever assembly due to a running change.

If you wonder why the indicator isn’t lit up, according to Ford, the vehicle is not “misbuilt.”
