Hazet develops Bluetooth-enabled electronic torque wrenches

Sept. 26, 2018
A new app and a low-energy Bluetooth interface gives the user the option of live data exchange from the tool to a smartphone or tablet.

The newly developed Hazet SmartTAC torque wrenches with built-in angle gauge are high-precision measuring instruments with a direct connection to smartphones or tablets via Bluetooth or WiFi.

The wrenches are intended for screw connections that demand very high accuracy. The SmartTAC wrenches offer a minimum tolerance of ± 1% / ± 1 digit – or a documentation obligation. The strength of the new wrenches with the Hazet designation "sTAC" particularly show their benefits in the latter case, according to the company.

The electronic torque wrenches are equipped with Smart technology specially developed for Hazet, which the company says raises the working and documentation options with the SmartTAC torque wrenches to a "new level."

A new app and a low-energy Bluetooth interface gives the user the option of live data exchange with a smartphone or tablet. The new electronic wrenches can now also be connected via USB-C interface with a laptop or PC. The wrench can thus be programmed directly or the saved screwing data can be transmitted to the PC for documentation purposes.

The wrenches are also now offered in small torque ranges to cover more applications.
