ASE Announces 2026 Officers and Board Members
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence has announced its officers and board members for the upcoming year.
John Wolf, president of Snap-on Business Solutions, assumes the role of board chair, while Tom Palermo, general manager at Preferred Automotive Specialists, serves as vice chair. John Hanighen, president and CEO at Cloyes Manufacturing, is treasurer, and Gary Uyematsu, national technical training manager at BMW of North America, is secretary. Jason Rainey, vice president at NAPA AutoCare/AAA, transitions to past chair after serving as chair the previous year.
Six new governors have joined the ASE board: Aaron Charbonneau of General Motors, Chris Charton of Toyota, Brent Franks of the North Texas Automotive Dealers Association, Mike McSorley of Goodyear, Gerry Mead of TravelCenters of America, and Jake Sorenson of McNeil's Auto Repair.
Six individuals have completed their board terms and transitioned off the board: Karen Allison of Breeden Dodge Chrysler Jeep, Stacy Balzer of Ford, Tej Gill of Pohanka Lexus, Elisha Huddleston of General Motors, Rebecca Mahan of Clarience Technologies, and Mike Mallet of Freightliner.

"Together, we will continue to reinforce ASE's leadership in the transportation industry and explore new ways to best serve technicians, service providers and vehicle owners."
