Motor Age Training and Dorman Products join forces for "RevUp" training event

The full-day event will include sessions focusing on diagnostics.

Motor Age Training has teamed up with Dorman Products to co-sponsor RevUp, an automotive technician training event at the Automotive Training Center in Warminster, Pennsylvannia on September 20. 

The full-day even is designed to help technicians refine their diagnostic skills and deepen their understanding of advanced vehicle repair. Four instructors from the Dormain Training center will guide participants through real-world scenarios, present detailed technical classes, and answer questions on critical topics like air-fuel sensor testing, advancing electrical troubleshooting, and effective techniques for diagnosing complex vehicle issues. 

Sessions include:

  • Upping Your Diagnostic Skills: Dorman Training Center Director Jerry "G" Truglia will lead this course with a focus on teaching technicians the skills to diagnose and troubleshoot driveability issues efficiently, even when there are no diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) present. 
  • Diagnostic Strategies: Pete Meier will provide training in OBD-II system diagnostics using common test equipment, covering essential first steps, scan tool technigques, and fuel system analysis. 
  • Building Your Diagnostic Worksheet: Ken Zanders leads this course on the fundamentals of building your diagnostic process, using various testing methods and equipment to ensure an effective troubleshooting process. 
  • Driving Down the Rabbit Hole: Josh Weaver captains this course which aims to streamline the diagnostic process with an eight-step sequence, helping technicians quickly establish an accurate approach from the initial test drive for efficient troubleshooting.
