Auto repair shop management software company R.O. Writer, recently celebrated 15 years of donating software and support to Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School, according to a press release. Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School estimates that over the course of this philanthropic partnership, hundreds of students have benefited from learning to use R.O. Writer’s automotive shop management software.
“By training our students on the R.O. Writer platform, we are ensuring they have all the skills necessary to work in a modern, digitized auto repair shop,” said Scott Furtado, Automotive Technology faculty member at Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School. “We’re grateful to partner with R.O. Writer as we provide our students with a wide range of technical and theoretical skills, including end-to-end auto shop management.”
Aaron Shapiro, president of R.O. Writer, said his company was proud to give back to the communities that have made it a success for 35 years.
“By supporting up-and-coming professionals in the automotive trades, we also keep a pulse on what a new, digitally-savvy generation of automotive technicians want from their auto repair shop software – and that helps keep R.O. Writer on the cutting edge.”
Students from Old Colony Regional Vocational Technical High School will soon benefit from newly released R.O. Writer Hybrid Cloud, which pairs the security and convenience of off-site, cloud-based backups with the reliability of on-premises software.
“We’re excited to hear what younger technicians think of R.O. Writer Hybrid Cloud,” said Shapiro. “We expect it will be a big hit with this generation of digital natives, who really appreciate the mobility, efficiency, and security of cloud-based applications.”
