Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2021-2025 Ford Bronco vehicles. In affected vehicles, a previous repair involving the transmission or transfer case may have been performed incorrectly, causing the joint between the two components to be misaligned. This misalignment can lead to premature wear of the transmission output shaft and transfer case input splines. As a result, the vehicle may experience a loss of motive power or a loss of park pawl function, potentially causing the vehicle to roll while in park and increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect the transmission-to-transfer case joint and replace the transmission and transfer case if evidence of misalignment or excessive wear is found, free of charge, under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V236.
Ford Motor Company is recalling certain 2024-2026 Ford Ranger vehicles. In affected vehicles, the sunvisor or headliner wiring harnesses may have been damaged during installation due to improper positioning or excessive harness tape thickness. This damage can cause an electrical short to ground, which may create heat or sparks. As a result, the A-pillar area may experience smoke, melting, or fire, increasing the risk of injury or a crash. Dealers will inspect the vehicle for specific diagnostic trouble codes and check the wiring harnesses for damage, replacing them if necessary, and will also perform a Body Control Module (BCM) software update to prevent future shorts, free of charge, under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V238.
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is recalling certain 2024-2026 AMG GT, C-Class, E-Class, SL, CLE, and GLC vehicles. In affected vehicles, the infotainment control unit software may trigger an increased number of system resets as a fallback behavior. As a result, the instrument cluster display may experience a brief interruption, preventing the driver from viewing driving-related information and increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will update the infotainment control unit software, free of charge, under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V281.
Gulf States Toyota, Inc. is recalling certain 2026 Toyota 4Runner vehicles equipped with the Blackout Off-Road Upgrade Package. In affected vehicles, a system error caused the distributor to install load carrying capacity modification labels that display inaccurate added weight values. Specifically, the labels may indicate an added weight higher than the actual weight of the installed accessories, which does not conform to federal safety requirements. As a result, the vehicle may be overloaded based on inaccurate label information, which can affect vehicle handling. Owners will be mailed a replacement label with instructions, or they may have the label replaced at a Toyota dealer, free of charge, under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V282.
Tesla, Inc. is recalling certain 2017 and 2021-2023 Model 3, 2020-2023 Model Y, 2021-2023 Model S, and 2021-2023 Model X vehicles equipped with Hardware version 3. In affected vehicles, a specific software configuration may prevent camera streams from being sent to the Media Control Unit (MCU) for up to 11 seconds upon vehicle power-up. As a result, the rearview image may be delayed when a driver shifts into reverse, which can affect the driver's rear view and increase the risk of a collision. Tesla has released an over-the-air (OTA) software update to correct the condition, free of charge, under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V283.
