This Week's Recalls: Mar 9-13
Mercedes-Benz
Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC is recalling certain 2026 GLA 250 vehicles. A bowden cable in these vehicles may have been incorrectly installed. This condition can prevent the vehicle's door from opening from the inside. If a door cannot be opened, occupants may become trapped inside, which increases the risk of injury. Dealers will inspect and repair the bowden cable assembly as necessary at no cost to owners under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V134.
Audi
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. is recalling 2019 Audi Q8, A7, and A6 vehicles. These vehicles previously received a software update under recall 90TV that incorrectly contained coding which inadvertently removed the virtual button and icon for the lane departure warning system. The absence of this button and icon may increase driver confusion regarding the functionality of the system, and if other warnings are overlooked, it can increase the risk of a crash. Authorized dealers will perform a software update to reactivate the virtual button and icon under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V125.
General Motors
General Motors, LLC is recalling certain 2025–2026 Chevrolet Express Cutaway and GMC Savana Cutaway vehicles. These vehicles may have right rear tires with sidewall damage caused by a broken roller in a wheel alignment fixture during the manufacturing process. A tire with such damage may experience sudden air loss, potentially causing a loss of vehicle control and increasing the risk of a crash. Dealers will inspect all tire sidewalls and replace any tires found with damage under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V127.
Toyota
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling 2021–2024 Toyota Highlander and Highlander HV vehicles. The subject vehicles are equipped with second-row seats featuring recliner assemblies that may fail to fully engage in a locked position during adjustment. This issue is caused by a design change that created an imbalance between the return spring torque and the locking spring force. A seat back that is not secured in a locked position may fail to properly restrain occupants during a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Dealers will replace the recliner assembly return springs with improved ones under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V128.
Kia
Kia America, Inc. is recalling certain 2026 K4 Hatchback and 2027 Telluride vehicles. Due to a supplier manufacturing error, the rear center seatbelt anchor buckle (K4) or the third-row center seatbelt anchor buckle (Telluride) may not latch properly. A buckle that does not latch correctly may not adequately restrain an occupant during a collision, increasing the risk of injury. Kia dealers will inspect and, if necessary, replace the anchor buckle assembly under NHTSA Campaign ID 26V135.
