Tenneco has announced the release of an advanced performance four-inch suspension system – featuring Rancho ReaLIFT torsion bar relocation technology – for 2009-11 Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon 2WD and 4WD trucks.

Now available at performance retailers nationwide, the Rancho Colorado/Canyon system (p/n $S6569B) utilizes Rancho ReaLIFT technology that eliminates the need to relocate the factory torsion bar crossmember, maximizing the full value of larger tires and wheels, says Tenneco. The system accommodates up to 33-inch tires.

The new Rancho system includes a special low-profile, two-piece crossmember design that precisely relocates the differential, allowing for additional ground clearance and simplifying installation. The Rancho system also includes Rancho CNC-machined, extended cast steering knuckles that the company says delivers superior strength and reliability plus improved ride and handling characteristics.

Other installation benefits include the preservation of the stock rack and pinion location and no drivetrain or exhaust modifications. The OE front skidplate can be used with the Rancho system. The system is fully compatible with the vehicle’s StabiliTrak electronic stability control system. The new system aligns to OE specifications and includes all of the necessary alignment hardware.

Rancho also offers RS5000® shocks for 2009-10 Chevy Colorado/GMC Canyon trucks (RS5610, front; RS5325, rear). Popular among light truck and SUV owners worldwide, RS5000 shocks combine a twin-tube design with 10-stage velocity sensitive valving and include a 5/8-in. diameter piston rod and 1-3/8-in. diameter piston.

This kit also covers the 2004-08 Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon.  The Rancho Colorado/Canyon system is offered with a limited lifetime warranty. Rancho Articles are manufactured and marketed by Tenneco Inc. and headquartered in Long Beach, Calif. For more information visit www.gorancho.com,
