Rick Escalambre, an automotive technical trainer, will conduct a training session on how to plan for handling incomplete readiness monitors. He will provide insight showing why readiness monitors are not just for inspection and maintenance programs. This critical information can be useful for all technicians attempting to run a monitor to verify a repair or to prepare the vehicle for a smog check inspection. The session will emphasis OBDII Global MODE $09 and in-use performance tracking. In addition, participants can learn about the difference between an OEM trip (numerator), CARB trip (denominator) and the frequency ratio.
