Standard Motor Products releases 250 new parts for Standard, Intermotor

Standard Motor Products announces the addition of 250 new part numbers to its Standard and Intermotor lines. The release expands coverage through the 2016 model year covering more than 200 million additional vehicles in operation (VIO).

Standard Motor Products (SMP) announces the addition of 250 new part numbers to its Standard® and Intermotor® lines. The release expands coverage through the 2016 model year covering more than 200 million additional vehicles in operation (VIO).

The company increased switch coverage by 40 million VIO with the introduction of 90 SKUs, including 25 combination switches and 20 instrument panel dimmer switches with applications for domestic and import vehicles.

Other key additions were made throughout the company’s engine management line, including 40 door lock actuators, 20 fuel vapor canisters, and 10 ABS speed sensors. The company also released several canister vent solenoids and several crankshaft sensors, one of which has diesel applications.

Phil Hutchens, Vice President Engine Management Marketing, SMP, commented on the release, stating, “With 250 new parts, our latest new item release demonstrates our continued commitment to supplying our customers with the coverage and quality they demand.”

All new applications are listed in the eCatalogs found at www.StandardBrand.com and www.IntermotorImport.com and in electronic catalog providers.
