Wells Manufacturing adopts Wells Vehicle Electronics name

Wells Manufacturing L.P. has officially adopted the Wells Vehicle Electronics, L.P. name as its corporate identify. The change was made following the acquisition of the Wells business by global ignition products manufacturer NGK SPARK PLUG CO. LTD.

Wells Manufacturing L.P. has officially adopted the Wells Vehicle Electronics, L.P. name as its corporate identify. The change was made following the acquisition of the Wells business by global ignition products manufacturer NGK SPARK PLUG CO., LTD. 

Wells is a global manufacturer and supplier of advanced vehicle electronics components for automotive original equipment and replacement applications.

Wells introduced the Wells Vehicle Electronics brand in 2010 to reflect the company’s rapid sales growth, expanded product offering and world-class design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

“The Wells Vehicle Electronics brand has enabled us to build upon a strong foundation of industry-leading product design, extensive North American research, development and manufacturing resources and a commitment to the success of our channel partners and professional technicians,” said Wells President David Peace. “By aligning our corporate name with this now firmly established brand, we are positioned for continued growth in each of our product segments.”

Founded in Fond du Lac, Wis., in 1903, Wells offers more than 38,000 parts, including distributor caps and rotors, ignition coils, control modules, sensors, wire and cable sets, emissions components, switches, fuel system components, voltage regulators, and diagnostic solutions. The company operates a state-of-the-art headquarters and electronics manufacturing facility in Fond du Lac, an additional manufacturing plant in Reynosa, Mexico, and a product distribution center in Centerville, Iowa.
