MAM Software Inc. presented the National Catalog Managers Association’s (NCMA) President’s Catalog Excellence Award to Gates Corporation, a manufacturer of power transmission belts and fluid power products.

MAM Software Inc., a global provider of on-premise and cloud-based business management solutions for the auto parts, tire and vertical distribution industries, presented the National Catalog Managers Association’s (NCMA) President’s Catalog Excellence Award to Gates Corporation, a manufacturer of power transmission belts and fluid power products.

Each year, the NCMA President’s Catalog Excellence Awards recognize the best examples of printed and electronic cataloging in the auto care industry. The winners are recognized at NCMA’s Knowledge Exchange conference each year.

This is the first time that MAM Software has presented an award at the annual NCMA conference. The event followed MAM’s release of its Autocat+ industry catalog this past year.

“We’re proud to have Gates as a data partner in providing our mutual customers with quality information,” said MAM Software’s President Patrick Maley. “The time and effort that Gates dedicates to its data is evident in the quality of the information.”

Gates received praise for the regular delivery and consistency of the information in its updates. “Gates not only provides the necessary application information, but also a wealth of rich content that assists customers in making the correct product selection,” said Dave Dale, MAM Software’s director of Data Services. “In addition to applications and product-attribute information, Gates provides multiple view images and product interchanges to help customers identify the product they need.”

Gates updates are provided in the ACES and PIES industry data delivery standards. While other companies also use the standards, Gates has taken the additional step of utilizing the latest features to provide application-based digital assets, and the Product Attribute Database (PAdb) to standardize its attribute descriptions.
