The Permatex Follow A Dream Team officially kicked off the season at Auto Plus Raceway in Gainesville, Fla., earlier this season. In the process, the team set the top speed of the meet for the East Region season opener. Driver Todd Veney hit 262.79 mph in the final qualifying session for Top Alcohol Funny Cars, narrowly missing the team’s all time speed record of 262.85 mph by .06 mph.
Over the past five years, the Permatex Follow A Dream Race Team has been in the NHRA Top 10 three times and finished the 2014 season in 5th place regionally and 12th place, nationally. Blake and company look to improve on an impressive 2014 campaign and have been hard at work for 2015, tuning the new 2014 Camaro, which they debuted at end of last season.
The Permatex Follow A Dream Race Team will challenge the 2015 NHRA series with veteran driver Todd Veney behind the wheel. Veney, an NHRA racer and motorsports journalist has been with the Follow A Dream team since 2010. He will help the team compete in 14 races this year, across the United States, eight of which are national events.
