TRW’s NA business growth drives expansion

TRW’s North American (NA) Aftermarket Group has appointed Chris Sumrell as sales manager for the Eastern US Parts & Service business.

TRW’s North American (NA) Aftermarket Group has appointed Chris Sumrell as sales manager for the Eastern US Parts & Service business.

An aftermarket professional with more than 30 years’ industry experience, Sumrell joined TRW in December 2014 from Honeywell Friction Materials LLC, where his most recent role was Manager of Program Group and Canadian Sales.

Welcoming Sumrell to the business, TRW’s sales and marketing director, NA, Mark Thorpe explained, “Our aftermarket business is growing rapidly. To ensure we are well-placed to meet the ever-changing needs of our expanding customer base, we are further building on our experienced and successful team.”

“Chris is well known and respected throughout the industry, with a strong track record of delivering excellent business results. He is right person to further develop the TRW brand and continue the success story of TRW's aftermarket activities in this region.”

Sumrell added, “With its pedigree and heritage, the TRW brand is truly world-class. I’m proud to be a part of the team and am looking forward to becoming part of that very successful tradition as the business continues to go from strength to strength.”

Sumrell will be based in Greenville, N.C., and will report to Thorpe.
