microGreen Oil Filters go pink for breast cancer research

Sept. 23, 2014
SOMS Technologies, manufacturer of the microGreen Extended Performance Oil Filter, announced recently that it will begin distributing pink oil filters to raise awareness for breast cancer and benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

SOMS Technologies LLC, the manufacturer of the microGreen® Extended Performance Oil Filter, announced recently that it will begin distributing pink oil filters to raise awareness for breast cancer and benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation, Inc.® (NBCF).

“The filters, which are normally dark green, will raise awareness by adding a bright pink color to the tens of thousands of fleet vehicles that use our filters,”said microGreen President Miles Flamenbaum. “For every microGreen oil filter purchased, a donation will be made to NBCF, an organization making a tremendous impact in the lives of women and men all over the world.”

From now until October 30, microgreen has partnered with NBCF to help fund early detection programs, provide mammograms for those in need and support those who face breast cancer. microGreen is a socially responsible company with the goal of saving money and protecting the environment by reducing engine oil usage, and they also believe that social responsibility should expand beyond oil and filter changes to helping those affected by cancer.

“We’re excited to partner with microGreen because they understand that breast cancer impacts everyone,” says NBCF Founder & CEO, Janelle Hail.  “The funds they raise will help us provide early detection services for women in all 50 states.”

The microGreen Oil Filter is the most advanced technological leap in engine oil filtration systems in the past 30 years. Based off a unique model, the two-in-one filter design continuously filters small portions of the oil, rather than all at one, to achieve improvements in oil quality over time. The microGreen difference is replacing your oil every 30,000 miles as compared to 3,000. The filter also installs and removes like a conventional filter and fits a wide variety of vehicles.
