ASC Industries' "Customers Who Care" made a pledge to the Global Automotive Aftermarket Symposium (GAAS) Scholarship fund for this year's scholarships, and five high school students recently received this benefit. Brandon Dailey of Schoolcraft, Mich.; Matthew Elwer of Delphos, Ohio; Michael Healy of Lima, Ohio.; Mitchell Harble of Newark, Ohio; and Stephanie Spalding of Newburyport, Mass., were the five applicants chosen for the GAAS scholarship dollars provided on behalf of ASC’s customers. Dailey, Elwer and Healy will attend the University of Northwestern Ohio. Harble and Spalding will attend Ohio Technical College. Last year, ASC Industries pledged $5,000 on behalf of its customers for the second consecutive year to the Scholarship Fund designed to aid students in pursuing their careers in the automotive aftermarket. Since the GAAS Scholarship program’s inception 11 years ago, over 1,300 students have received financial aid. Through this scholarship program, ASC’s customers joined other industry partners in providing over $1.3 million in assistance to students to assist in establishing their automotive aftermarket career as a technician, marketer, engineer, sales representative or other applicable position.
