RICHMOND, Va. - The Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association (WMABA) is gearing up for its annual golf outing, which raises funds for the Jerry Dalton Memorial Education Fund, as well as the nationally recognized March Taylor Education Fund. This year, Sherwin-Williams Automotive Finishes (SWAFC) will serve as the major sponsor of the event.
"In a frustrating economy, it is rewarding to have so many companies stepping up to preserve the initiatives of the association," said Jordan Hendler, Executive Director for WMABA. "Sherwin-Williams is the major sponsor this year, and we commend them for their efforts and generous support for events and initiatives that continue to support the industry. Many of our business partners have also continued, and in many cases amplified, their support of this tournament in spite of tough times. We believe this display of support and generosity not only substantiates the work that we do, but shows how much these companies believe in the causes that this tournament generates funds for."
"We have had a successful affiliation with the Washington Metropolitan Auto Body Association. It is a well respected organization that is doing great work on behalf of the Jerry Dalton Memorial Education Fund and the March Taylor Education Fund, and we support its efforts," said Brandon Devis, SWAFC A-Plus Program Manager.
The WMABA Golf Outing will be held at the Virginia Oaks Golf Club in Gainesville, Virginia on June 25th at 1:00pm. There will be many prizes, Beat-the-Pro contest, and a reception dinner during a fun-filled day of camaraderie for collision repairers and our industry constituents. If you are interested in participating, you may contact the WMABA office for more details. Entry, sponsorship and course information is available on the WMABA website at: www.wmaba.com/golf.htm.
