ASF Intermodal crosses 150 driver mark at two-year anniversary

Feb. 8, 2013
Now, just two years later, the company has hauled more than 50,000 loads through its six terminals, each located in different states.

ASF Intermodal announced that the company has exceeded 150 trucks on the road, a milestone that comes just as the company marks the anniversary of its second year of operations. ASF Intermodal delivered its first load on February 28 of 2011, and the driver who handled that very first delivery is still with the company today. Now, just two years later, the company has hauled more than 50,000 loads through its six terminals, each located in different states.

As ASF Intermodal enters its third year in business, the company remains committed to playing a leading role in the intermodal industry through continual growth an improvement. The company is dedicated to providing the highest quality service to its customers, as well as to cultivating a strong internal culture that demonstrates to employees and contractors just how valuable they are. To that end, the company has expanded its sales team, creating a new Director of Sales position, and introduced internal recognition programs to honor outstanding associates and drivers. The company has also introduced a driver lease/purchase program.

Michael Smith, ASF Intermodal President states, "2012 presented its challenges with the national election, economic uncertainties and the looming ILA strike, but our team rose to the occasion and continued our growth plan which resulted in over 50 percent growth. I am confident 2013 will have its challenges as well, but with the team and network that we have assembled, I am certain we will continue to move forward with continued growth."
