211,000 vehicles recalled over stability control

June 13, 2024
Dodge and Ram have recalled 211,851 vehicles due to an antilock braking systems failure.

Stellantis, parent company of Dodge and Ram, has recalled 211,851 vehicles because their antilock braking systems (ABS) can turn off their stability control (ESC) systems.

Recalled models include the 2022 Dodge Durango, 2022 Ram 2500, AND 2022 Ram 3500 with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of under 10,000 lbs.

Stellantis told the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that a malfunction in the ABS can cause the ESC to shut down. Without stability control active, a vehicle may behave abnormally during any loss of traction, which could contribute to an accident.

Dealers will fix the problem with a software update for free.
