Short Drives Cause Problem With Buick Regals

Owners of 2016-2018 Buick Regals may exhibit a MIL on, with DTC P0172 (fuel trim system rich) set in the ECM.

This condition may be caused by driving the vehicle in short intervals, allowing excessive fuel to collect in the crankcase. 

Change the engine oil and filter and clear the DTC.
