Dodge Ram Air Suspension
A “small number” of 2014-2015 RAM 2500 and 3500 trucks equipped with an air suspension may experience a MIL on with DTC C1556-14 (ride height air pressure sensor – circuit short to ground or open). In addition, the customer may experience a non-operative auto level rear air suspension. Using a scan tool, check for DTCs. Address all non-related codes before proceeding.
If code C1556-14 is present, inspect the wiring harness for shorts and grounds and repair as needed. Replace the air compressor and refill the system with nitrogen. Replacement compressors are available as P/N 68239571AA. Tool P/N 10247B is required to refill the system.
