Audatex Estimating sets stage for intelligent graphics
SAN DIEGO — Audatex North America now offers Audatex Estimating Version 6.0, a workflow solution for auto insurers and collision repairers that provides integrated damage photographs on-screen alongside two-dimensional vehicle graphics for greater ease of use, speed and accuracy.
It also introduces new special materials codes for boron/high-strength steel and mixed substrates.
“The Database Task Force cited substrate identification as one of the top issues for repairers and Audatex responded," says Rick Tuuri, VP of industry relations for Audatex. “They have been identified in the database for the past couple of years and now they are clearly identified on the damage screen and print on the estimate, which definitely helps repair technicians.”
This new version of Audatex Estimating sets the stage for the initial release this summer of three-dimensional, full-color, “intelligent” graphics that estimators can view and rotate as if they were physical parts in their very hands. The three-dimensional graphics feature is offered by Audatex in Europe and it is being finalized for the North American market. The initial release is scheduled for June.
