Redline Detection, an industry leader in diagnostic leak detection equipment, announced they have been chosen by Nissan to provide equipment that will be used to service Nissan and Infiniti vehicles at 1,500 locations. The company demonstrated the new Nissan Dual Purpose Diagnostic Leak Detector at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX), Booth 1661, in Las Vegas.

This equipment provides the ability to test a full range of vehicle and engine types, an engineering innovation in diagnostic leak detection, according to Redline. The machine deploys both lower, fixed pressure for quick diagnostic ability in EVAP systems and normally aspirated engine general repair; and also variable, higher pressure to efficiently service forced induction, turbo, diesel, and heavy duty systems, using either visible vapor or air only.

“We are honored to be chosen by Nissan” said Redline Detection executive vice president Alex Parker. “Redline Detection is the industry leader in the automotive aftermarket and has now been chosen for more essential tool and equipment programs than any other diagnostic leak detection manufacturer in the past decade.”

This technology will provide Nissan and Infiniti service facilities the ability to switch from low pressure to higher pressure for different system test applications, in a single piece of equipment, with literally the flip of a switch. The machine is designed for applications including testing the integrity of the fuel vapor recovery (EVAP) system, complete exhaust system (diesel or gasoline), entire intake system (gasoline, alternative fuel, diesel), turbo and turbo housings, charge air coolers, all boosted engines, diesel particulate filter systems, and diesel emission systems. By generating variable pressure from 0.5 to 20 PSI,the equipment gives technicians the ability to adjust flow for diagnosing different types of vehicles. The machine creates a dense, easily visible vapor without the use of dyes and is safe for technicians, safe for vehicles, and safe for the environment.

“Redline has developed a reputation for agile engineering, for creating custom solutions for the world’s leading OEMs," Parker said. "We take enormous pride in delivering top quality equipment, on time, on budget, every time."
