It is one of the most fun nights on the racing calendar and Cruz Pedregon will be right in the middle of the action. Pedregon will race the Snap-on late model dirt track car in the 2012 "Feed the Children Prelude to the Dream" dirt track race for charity. This year's race will be held on June 6 at the Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio and can be seen live on HBO Pay-Per-View. The proceeds from the race will benefit "Feed the Children," an international, nonprofit relief organization.
"The 'Prelude' is one of the most rewarding things I do every year and I want to thank Tony Stewart for inviting me back to race again this year," said Pedregon. "I love being a part of this important charity event and it's always a blast to race against the NASCAR guys. This year, they've added some World of Outlaws drivers to the field, so it will be even more exciting. I can't wait for race day so we can raise as much money as we can for the 'Feed the Children' organization."
Pedregon will be one of more than 25 world-renowned drivers battling in the dirt while raising money for "Feed the Children." Among Pedregon's competitors will be the host of the event, Tony Stewart and other NASCAR stars including Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Newman, Clint Bowyer, Danica Patrick, and Kyle and Kurt Busch.
"Snap-on is proud to be involved in this charity race that benefits such a worthwhile cause as 'Feed the Children,'" said Yvette Morrison, vice president of marketing, Snap-on Tools Group. "Cruz has been a wonderful ambassador for Snap-on for over 20 years and it shows how well respected he is in the racing community to be included in a stellar event like the 'Prelude.' We know Cruz will do a great job on the track and we applaud him for the good works he does off the track."
