NHTSA extends connected vehicle tests by six months

Extensive research continues with pilot programs using wifi-technology called dedicated short range communication, or DSRC.

A pilot program that allows vehicles to communicate with wi-fi technology using dedicated short range communication (or, DSRC), has been postponed for another six months from the original decision date, according to a report posted on Automotive News.
