Elite Brake adds optimum anti-corrosive protection To remanufactured brake shoes

Elite Brake Company has announced the availability of DiamondCote on all of its remanufactured brake shoes.

By providing “the best anti-corrosive protection available in the industry,” the company says it has eliminated the problems associated with rust-jacking.

DiamondCote is a cathodic electrostatic coating process which gives 400% better rust protection than industry standard remanufactured brake shoe paint. This process involves 12 steps to insure that the brake shoe is completely clean and free of imperfections, and then uses a procedure which employs the particle-attracting property of electrostatic charges to coat the metal surface.

Rust-jacking is a serious problem for many industries, but particularly commercial vehicle fleets.

Corrosive anti-icing highway chemicals rapidly cause rust build-up on brake shoes underneath the brake lining. This makes the brake lining crack.

A cracked brake lining is unsafe and must be immediately replaced leading to unscheduled maintenance and downtime - both of which are budget killers.

Elite Brake’s remanufactured brake shoes with DiamondCote won't crack due to rust-jacking so these extra costs are avoided, the company says.

Elite Brake Company is a North American Tier Two supplier of brake related components to original equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket for the transportation sector. The company serves heavy duty commercial vehicle manufacturers of trucks, trailers, and transit/coach buses, their dealer networks, and aftermarket independent distributors.
