Retread Tire Association formed
The Retread Tire Association (RTA) is a new non-profit organization founded by Harvey Brodsky, who until recently ran the Tire Retread Information Assn. (TRIB).
The objective of RTA is to work for the benefit of the retread tire and repair industries, and for the relevant related industries that support the business of making, distributing and selling top quality retread tires,. Brodsky serves as RTA’s managing director.
In this position, Brodsky brings the benefit of more than 30 years of seasoned experience, including personal and professional knowledge of all facets of the retreading and tire repair industries and its related industries.
“I have been writing and speaking on behalf of retreading around the world to fleet managers at conferences and trade shows, conducting educational and informational panels for owner-operators and others and being the knowledgeable Voice of Retreading for all tire retread and tire repair related issues, including the promotion and defense of the tire retreading and repair industries,” he says.
“My skill in legislative action and decades of ongoing productively working together with government entities - including on the local, state, federal and international levels - has served tire retreading and repair industries industry well and has been responsible for heading off ill informed attacks against retreading in Florida, Georgia and a number of other cities and states.”
Brodsky was inducted into the Retread Industry Hall of Fame in recognition of his skills and of all of his positive contributions to the tire retreading and repair industries Industry as the managing director of TRIB.
“My more than 30 years of successfully proactively and positively benefiting our Industry by being the go-to person and clearinghouse for all things retread and tire repair related truly represent my passion and my calling to retreaders everywhere,” he says.
