CRC Industries announces release
FiberLock Head Gasket & Block Repair, launched under the company's K&W brand, is a "Do-It-Yourself" pour-and-go product that permanently repairs cracks in head gaskets, engine blocks, freeze plugs, cylinder heads and radiators.
FiberLock is the newest addition to the K&W line of engine repair products that began with K&W Permanent Metallic Block Seal in 1938.
“FiberLock contains a powerful 3-tier formula compatible with all types of antifreeze," says Julie Williams, marketing manager for CRC. "It repairs leaks using three unique technologies: military-strength proprietary fibers, nanotechnology and Cool-X Conditioner, resulting in the ultimate permanent repair solution for all coolant leaks."
The sodium silicate contained in FiberLock is reinforced with fibers that make an interlocking web-like weave over the crack or breach, creating a permanent, multi-layer, impenetrable repair, and the product's nano-sized particles can reach into cracks and crevices that other products can't.
"This makes the molecular bond stronger, more solid and permanently hardened to the surface area," says Williams. “FiberLock also features Cool-X Conditioner, which circulates in the cooling system for lower operating temperatures and improved heat transfer long after the repair is made.”
CRC developed K&W FiberLock to offer an alternative to time-consuming and costly repairs for engine problems such as a cracked cylinder head or a blown head gasket. Williams says.
