With 325 representatives in attendance from dealerships across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Brazil, the meeting emphasized exceeding customer expectations and celebrated “The True Power of Blue,” a nod to Carrier’s blue trademark, symbolic of dealer loyalty and commitment.
In his keynote speech to dealers, Carrier Transicold President David Appel said: “A real strength of this organization is that your customers know you; they like working with you, and they expect that you can leverage the strength of the Carrier dealer network to help them resolve their issues as they travel across the country. That ‘True Blue’ commitment and spirit we demonstrate each and every day is why our customers will continue to recognize us, and our brand, as leaders in the industry.”
For Midlands, achieving its first Dealer of the Year award coincides with its 25th anniversary as a Carrier Transicold dealer. Midlands also achieved a NextLevel 2 Platinum award, a prerequisite for Dealer of the Year, as well as a Quota Buster award.
“Midlands Carrier Transicold demonstrated professionalism, commitment, passion and focus on their customers, resulting in another year of strong performance,” said Tom Spencer, Carrier Transicold dealer network manager. “They are the best of the best, excelling in the categories of sales performance, year-over-year improvement, customer satisfaction, service proficiency and investment and growth.”
Serving northeastern Mexico from its base in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Frío Servicio de Monterrey, or Friser, as it is known locally, was founded in 1988, and is now a two-time recipient of the Dealer of the Year award.
For 2010, Friser also achieved NextLevel 2 Platinum, Quota Buster and Double Digit Growth awards.
“Friser has consistently demonstrated commitment and dedication to achieving superior sales performance in Mexico, while helping to build a strong Carrier image,” said Jesús Estrada, Carrier Transicold managing director for Latin America. “Friser is notable for its extraordinary parts availability, its high standards of service and its investment in the most important asset any dealer may have, its people.”
The number of award recipients this year was up significantly from previous years, with 53 dealerships taking home 93 awards.
“The increase reflects real progress and engagement on the part of the dealer network in terms of achieving NextLevel 2 goals, including sales and service performance, and making significant investments in facilities,” said Spencer.
