Floppy Cable Affects Toyota

Some 2007-2012 Toyota Yaris vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the engine compartment with engine speed above idle and with the automatic transmission shift lever in the reverse position.

Some 2007-2012 Toyota Yaris vehicles may exhibit a rattle noise from the engine compartment with engine speed above idle and with the automatic transmission shift lever in the reverse position.

Raise the vehicle and locate the No. 2 transmission control cable support to the left of the center exhaust pipe flange. The plastic clamp may not be attached. Secure the transmission control cable assembly to the No. 2 transmission control cable support.
