I'm looking forward to a trip to Las Vegas at the end of this month, but not
for the gambling, cheap buffets or Broadway-quality shows. (Well, I may try
to get to Alan Albert's for the prime rib, but we'll see.) What I really am
anxious to see in person, for the first time, are the tool and equipment displays
on the show floors at AAPEX, SEMA, CARS and NACE during the annual Aftermarket
Week.
The sheer volume of new products promises to be
educational, enlightening and overwhelming. If you're not able to attend,
which areas would you especially like to read about in PD? My phone number
and email are on this page — let
me know what you're most interested in before Oct. 26.
If you are planning to attend, be sure to check our directory pages beginning on page
30, with
listings of tool and equipment businesses and their booth numbers who are planning
to display at AAPEX and some of the other industry shows.
On page 26, columnist
Phil Sasso gives tips on why you should try to get to AAPEX and how it can
impact your business. Additionally, for tips on saving money through tax exemptions
at shows like AAPEX or the other annual tool expos, check out the advice from
Mark Battersby on page 20.
Be sure to watch the next issue for more coverage
of AAPEX and the cool tools and equipment debuting there. Of course, if you
can't wait until then,
you're always welcome to log onto the website, www.professionaldistributormagazine.com,
for more info. Be sure to check out my new blog there for my particular thoughts
on what's going on without having to wait for the next issue in the mail!
Thanks.
