The Neu Tool Fair is back! After taking a hiatus in 2024, the company moved into a larger warehouse in Waukesha, Wisconsin, where they were able to hold this year’s event.

While discussing what this new space means for Neu Tool, Troy Beauchamp, president of Neu Tool & Supply, noted, “Growth is the biggest necessity. We were just tight at the other facility. Plus, as an employee-owned company, we wanted to improve the culture, you can see new lighting, an air-conditioned work environment, and a lot of room for growth of head count. We can almost double the size of our sales team.”

The two-day event, held September 26-27, hosted 80 vendors and 350 attendees. During that time, attendees had the opportunity to peruse the tools and equipment offered by the vendors, take a tour of the new warehouse, connect with others in the industry, and attend training sessions – a new addition to this year’s event.

After receiving feedback from attendees of the 2023 tool fair saying that they wanted a more in depth understanding of some the tool and equipment brands, the tools themselves, and how to sell them, Neu Tool looked into how they could incorporate that into this year’s tool fair.

“We had six different breakout rooms, three sessions per room, and different vendors could opt in,” Beauchamp explains. “A big part for us is, how do we be a conduit to provide the resources and the education that our customers want to be more effective [and] engaging with their end users [while] representing the brands that we that we represent.”

The sessions were all well attended, and Beauchamp plans to use their attendee survey to get an even better understanding of what they should continue doing for training and how they can improve for next time.

Overall, both attendees and vendors had positive feedback for the show between excitement around the venue, buying opportunities, and a chance to gather with industry friends once more.

Apart from getting the training session added for this year, another big focus was on the food. Neu Tool wanted to provide everyone with a little taste of Wisconsin. Appetizers like “a brat and a shot,” which included a slice of a Johnsonville brat and a shot of Spotted Cow beer, and deep-fried cheese curds were offered to guests. They also had food stations featuring fish fry and mac n’ cheese.

“We put a little thought into bringing a little Wisconsin to folks from all around the country,” Beauchamp said.

With this being the ninth annual Neu Tool Fair and the company having been around for over six decades, Beauchamp understands the importance of having events such as this one.

“It's building the relationships,” he said, “and strengthening those relationships on both sides — vendors and customers.”
