China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association (CICEIA) and the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) entered into a cooperation agreement to promote more remanufacturing in both countries

On September 27th the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association (CICEIA) and the Automotive Parts Remanufacturers Association (APRA) entered into a cooperation agreement to promote more remanufacturing in both countries.

APRA President Bill Gager and Ms. Ge Hong, President of CICEIA, agreed to promote a circular "green" economy that would encourage more savings of natural resources and environmentally friendly businesses in the remanufacturing industry. The basic content of the agreement will encourage more networking opportunities among the members of both associations and initiate efficient communication between both groups.

Manufacturers of all type of cleaning and test equipment throughout the world will benefit by the increased levels of remanufacturing that will take place in the next five years in China and other Asian Pacific countries. Gager stated, "Both parties agreed to study the trade policies from both countries and encourage the removal of trade barriers for remanufactured products and cores."

In the first sign of cooperation, the CICEIA will be a co-sponsor of APRA's upcoming "International Remanufacturing Forum" in Shanghai on December 10, 2012. They will be a co-sponsor of the event along with Automechanika Shanghai. Dr. Yiping Huang, Chairman of APRA's Asia Pacific Division, looks forward to developing more cooperation agreements in this region.
