Sales Tip: Have a home base

If you're working on a team where the distributors have diverging routes, it's a good idea to set aside a time and place where everyone can recoup and check-in with one another. This will help with both morale and running a much smoother operation.

What really helps to keep operations running smoothly on a team is having a home base. Shaun Arcand, head of FMT Sales group and Mac Tools distributor, explains that the whole team meets up every morning to check-in. With overlapping customer bases and customers who move from shop to shop, the morning meet-up allows all the sales reps to keep each other updated and swap products if someone needs inventory that isn’t on their truck.
