Sales Tip: Keep your word

Aug. 2, 2023
The key to creating and maintaining strong relationships with your customers is to keep your word. If you make a promise, to find them a tool or get back to them with an answer to a question, then be sure to follow through.

When trying to set herself apart from other distributors and strengthen her ties to her customers, Mac Tools Tina Leuschner has one solid piece of advice that has helped her throughout her career: follow through.

Making a promise only means so much if that promise isn’t being fulfilled. Leuschner suggests that distributors should aim to be at each stop along your route every week. If extenuating circumstances do arise, make sure you're there the next week, Leuschner advises.

“Once you fall out of habit,” Leuschner says. “They fall out of habit, too. They’re going to want somebody that’s going to be there.”
